Welcome to our first newsletter – it has been a busy couple of months and Ann-Maree, Neil and Sue have been working hard to ensure a smooth transition for both our team and our clients. Accounting Team: Our accounting team have an extensive wealth of knowledge and expertise to enable them to meet your accounting and taxation needs. They are your point of contact for general queries relating to the preparation of your annual accounts and taxation returns including GST, PAYE and FBT. In addition to this the team are able to offer IT training and support for Xero, Quickbooks and MYOB as we have in house certified trainers. |

Management Team: The Management team is responsible for supervising the accounting team plus the day-to-day running of the firm. They specialise in providing you with assistance in starting and developing your business, succession and estate planning, and “finding the right solutions for your business”. |

UPCOMING EVENTS! Seminar - Impact of the budget changes on you. As you are aware there have been many changes to the tax system as a result of the budget announcement on 20th May 2010 that could affect you. If you are registered for GST you need to start planning now for the rate increase of 15% from 1 October 2010. You will need to consider the impact this will have on GST returns, accounting processes and software, invoicing, receipts and your suppliers, customers or clients. From 1 October you'll need to make sure you issue invoices and account for GST at 15%. We are therefore holding a seminar for our clients and their guests: Time: 5.30pm to 7.00pm
Cost: $25 per person, $12.50 for an additional business guest who is not currently a client of Sterling Accountants.
